The Team

You will be joining an experienced leadership team backed by top-tier investors, including Greylock, NEA, and GGV. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, you will own the revenue and billing cycle end to end as an individual contributor.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a hands-on Revenue Accountant to own the full revenue cycle at a high-growth AI+SaaS company, from contract signing through invoicing, recognition, and cash collection. You will inherit a growing book of subscription and usage-based contracts and help shape how revenue operations run as we scale.

What You’ll Do

• Customer invoicing & billing: Own the end-to-end billing cycle for subscription, usage-based, and outcome-based contracts. Issue timely invoices tied to signed order forms and manage billing schedules.
• Revenue reporting & recognition: Maintain revenue and deferred revenue schedules under ASC 606. Own month-end close journal entries for revenue, AR, and related accounts.
• Revenue treatment support: Support the review of new and modified contracts for proper revenue treatment, including standalone selling price allocation and variable consideration.
• Commission capitalization & amortization: Own the commission accrual and payout cycle, capitalizing and amortizing costs under ASC 340-40.
• Accounts receivable & collections: Manage daily cash receipts, drive AR aging and collections to hit DSO targets, and serve as the primary contact for AR matters.
• Customer & cross-functional support: Serve as the front line for billing questions from customers and internal teams. Partner with Sales, Deal Desk, and Legal during contract reviews.
• Systems & process improvement: Help improve the quote-to-cash flow across NetSuite and Tabs, maintaining internal controls and audit-ready support.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 5+ years in revenue accounting, billing, or order-to-cash roles with ownership of a monthly revenue close.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Industry expertise: Revenue accounting experience at a technology or SaaS company with recurring and usage-based revenue streams.
• Technical skills: Working knowledge of ASC 606 for subscription and usage-based revenue models. Familiarity with ASC 340-40 is a plus.
• Systems: NetSuite proficiency (Advanced Revenue Management module) and hands-on experience with a dedicated billing platform (Tabs, Zuora, Ordway, Maxio, or Stripe Billing). Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills.
• Professional background: CPA license preferred.
