Events Manager | EMEA | Remote - Grafana Labs

The Opportunity

As our EMEA Events Manager, you will independently own and deliver Grafana's regional events across EMEA and, over time, APJ. From our ObservabilityCON on the Road conferences to our third-party sponsorship portfolio, this is a hands-on role for an experienced event manager who has run conferences end-to-end.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Event Execution: Independently manage and execute a portfolio of in-person events, including owned regional user conferences and third-party sponsorships.
• Logistics: Lead end-to-end logistics, including venue sourcing, negotiating, contracting, vendor coordination, booth design, and on-site execution.
• Project Management: Maintain detailed timelines, budgets, and vendor communications while ensuring alignment across stakeholders.
• Strategy & Analytics: Define success metrics, deliver post-event analysis, and translate insights into actionable improvements for ROI.
• Brand & Assets: Create, review, and approve event assets (signage, collateral, presentations) to ensure brand consistency.
• Innovation: Leverage AI and automation tools to improve planning efficiency and reporting processes.
• Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and product teams to align event strategy with business objectives.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Location: Based in the UK, Netherlands, Sweden, or Germany.
• Experience: 4+ years of direct event management experience, including end-to-end ownership of hosted conferences and third-party sponsorships.
• On-site Leadership: Proven experience as the primary on-site lead, capable of making real-time decisions without escalation.
• Travel: Willingness to travel approximately 40% of the time, including long-haul travel to APJ and flexibility during peak seasons.
• Tech Savvy: Curiosity in adopting new marketing technologies and AI-driven tools.
• Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Preferred Tools: Proficiency in Zuddl (or similar registration platforms), Salesforce, and Monday.com.
