Finance Systems Manager - Grafana Labs

Grafana Labs is seeking an experienced NetSuite Systems Manager with strong functional and IT support experience to join the Finance Systems team. In this individual contributor role, you will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and support of our NetSuite ERP system and associated Finance Business Systems.

You will act as a Finance Systems thought leader, championing best IT/functional practices, IT General Controls (ITGC), and process automation. Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Finance Systems, you will collaborate closely with Business Applications, Sales Operations, IT, and Finance.

What You’ll Be Doing

NetSuite System Administration

• Own day-to-day operations of NetSuite and other Finance Business systems, including hands-on user support and troubleshooting.
• Administer and support the NetSuite ERP system, focusing on Financials, Advanced Revenue Management (ARM), and Zone billing modules.
• Perform system configuration, customization, upgrades, and maintenance in compliance with change management, ITGC, and SDLC processes.
• Develop and maintain workflows, custom fields, and scripts.
• Manage NetSuite integrations with other business systems.
• Oversee user access management, Segregation of Duties (SOD) reviews, and periodic review processes.
• Oversee governance, change management, and end-to-end maintenance of general ledger accounts, cost centers, products, and reporting structures.
• Manage the ticketing system for tracking open cases and change requests to resolution.
• Optimize system settings, workflows, and customizations for maximum efficiency.
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with SOX regulations.
• Provide training and support to end-users.

Program Management

• Manage and configure finance transformation projects focused on the order-to-cash cycle, including Lead/Opportunity, Contract Management, Quoting/CPQ, Order Management, Revenue Recognition, Billing, Credit, Collections/Disputes, and Cash Application.
• Collaborate across Sales, Legal, Engineering, Finance, and IT to gather requirements and deliver business process enhancements.
• Scope, prioritize, and manage project delivery timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Define data-driven frameworks to measure program success and business value.
• Ensure change controls and procedures are adhered to across all production changes and implementations.

Dashboard Creation and Reporting

• Build high-performing dashboards tailored to Finance needs using NetSuite's native tools and Grafana dashboards.
• Develop reports and visualizations to surface actionable insights from financial data.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive experience as a Finance System Administrator with NetSuite and related financial tools (e.g., Zip, Avalara, Expensify).
• Hands-on technical and functional IT support and troubleshooting experience.
• Demonstrated experience with data migration, mapping, and integration in NetSuite, including Advanced Revenue Management (ARM), Zone billing, and Salesforce.
• Administrator-level knowledge of privileged access, content groups, multi-chart of accounts, dynamic approval chains, custom objects, tax codes, custom workflows, and report building.
• Deep understanding of ITGCs and working within SOC, ISO, and SOX-compliant environments.
• Proven track record integrating accounting systems with Salesforce / SFDC (including CPQ).
• Experience with project management tools such as GitHub, Monday.com, and Miro.
• Strong understanding of core accounting cycles (Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report).
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills in a remote environment.
