The Opportunity

Our Enterprise Solutions Engineering team consists of in-house, customer-facing product experts. This team drives Grafana Labs' worldwide growth by educating potential and existing customers, ensuring their satisfaction and success.

• Ongoing interaction

We also partner closely with our Sales team to help qualify and close opportunities. The Commercial SE team serves as a primary communication channel from our customers to the Product Management and Engineering teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Join an early, high-growth team focused on solving technical and customer problems effectively.
• Partner with the Sales team to articulate Grafana's value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
• Own technical engagements with customers and help close high-velocity opportunities through competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility.
• Deliver product and technical presentations to potential and existing customers.
• Proactively communicate with customers and internal teams to provide feedback on products and the competitive landscape.
• Drive product conversations based on needs and problems identified during customer interactions.
• Collaborate with the team to enhance documentation, write blog posts, record videos, contribute knowledge base articles, and create other public and internal enablement material.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Ideally located in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Chicago, Michigan, Indiana, or Ohio.
• 5+ years of technical pre-sales experience, ideally with Open Source technologies or in the Metrics/Monitoring space. We need team members who can hit the ground running.
• Strong judgment, collaboration, and leadership skills are essential for varied and complex duties in a startup environment.
• Ability to work and collaborate effectively with an international, remote-first team.
• First-class written and oral communication skills to articulate our value proposition and technical advantages to internal teams and worldwide customers.
• Passion for solving technical challenges and thriving on creative solutions for customers.
• A technical mindset and a desire for continuous technical growth. Great candidates may include recent coding bootcamp graduates or those with previous post-sales or engineering experience.
• Self-motivated, initiative-driven, creative, and perhaps someone who has already taken a brave step or two in life!

Compensation & Rewards

In the United States, the OTE (On-Target Earnings) compensation range for this role is $204,000 - $254,000. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset. All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), providing every team member ownership in Grafana Labs' success. We believe in shared outcomes, and RSUs help us stay aligned as we scale globally.
