Senior Product Designer - Hyperproof

Hyperproof is looking for a Senior Product Designer who has already changed how they work because of AI, and can show us the results.

About Us

Hyperproof is a modern, AI-powered GRC platform that helps IT, security, and compliance teams manage controls at scale, connect them to risk, and build trust with their customers. Our customers work in regulated environments where accuracy, auditability, and trust are not optional.

How We Work

Design at Hyperproof starts with customers and ends in production code. You'll meet with customers to understand the problem. Design and prototype with Claude in our codebase. Test and iterate with real users. Write UX specs and partner with engineering to ship.

You own problem framing and UX decisions for your work. Your PM partner owns the why, priority, and business outcomes. Engineering owns architecture and scale.

What You'll Do

  • Discovery and research: Lead interviews, usability tests, and analytics reviews to frame problems before solving them. Use AI agents to transcribe and tag interviews, cluster themes across customer calls, support tickets, and product feedback, and pull usage data from analytics in hours instead of days. Check every finding against raw quotes and numbers before it shapes a decision.
  • Prototype in code: Use Claude Code to build several working versions of a flow in a branch of our live codebase, with real components and data, then put the strongest in front of customers in days, not weeks.
  • Ship to production: Use Claude Code to make small UI and UX pull requests, such as polish, fixes, and component updates. Review AI changes yourself before engineering review, meeting standard code quality bars.
  • Code first, specs second: Your primary output is working code: prototypes in our codebase that engineering builds from directly. Specs and design files are secondary, used where code needs support (states, edge cases, accessibility).
  • Design system: Contribute documented, reusable components and tokens, in Figma and in code. Use AI to audit screens for off-system patterns, generate component variants and usage docs, and flag drift between Figma and production.
  • AI features: Design AI experiences compliance teams can trust, with clear provenance, human review, traceable reasoning, and graceful handling of uncertain output. Prototype with real model responses.
  • Accessibility: Meet WCAG 2.1 AA before shipping. Run AI checks on contrast, keyboard paths, and screen reader labels, then verify results manually.
  • Raise the bar: Turn your effective workflows into reusable prompts, Claude skills, and agents for other designers and PMs. Run design reviews and articulate complex decisions.
  • Ownership: Define success before launch and measure outcomes after. Query product analytics using AI to report changes without relying on a dedicated analyst.

What You Bring

  • Proof that AI changed how you work: Specific workflows you rebuilt, legacy practices discontinued, and measurable gains in cycle time, concepts tested, or output quality.
  • Hands-on agentic coding experience: Direct proficiency with Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent agentic coding tools.
  • Front-end literacy: Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, React, and Git to direct AI coding tools, review diffs, and identify bugs.
  • Sound judgment with AI: Critical evaluation of AI output, understanding when not to use it, and maintaining rigorous product standards.
  • Strong research skills: Qualitative and quantitative user research expertise, paired with AI-driven synthesis and validation against raw customer data.
  • Design systems expertise: Deep familiarity building with design systems and design tokens.
  • Domain focus: Enthusiasm for unraveling complex enterprise software challenges.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product design experience, including 3+ years in B2B SaaS.
  • Hands-on experience building working prototypes in code using Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools.
  • A portfolio featuring interactive or shipped work highlighting your product thinking and reasoning.
  • Nice to have: Experience in GRC, cybersecurity, or regulated domains; previous design work on AI or agentic user experiences.
