We are currently looking for an IFRS Manager who will take ownership of the Group's consolidated financial statements and be responsible for IFRS methodology and expertise on complex IFRS issues.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role for a specialist who has independently prepared financial statements under IFRS, worked with complex and non-standard transactions, and has experience coordinating the group audit process.
You will be responsible for the Group's consolidated financial statements, IFRS methodology, and accounting approaches, support Reporting Accountants on complex issues, and influence the development, standardization, and automation of financial reporting processes.
Your Responsibilities
- Prepare the Group's consolidated financial statements and related disclosures under IFRS.
- Analyze complex and non-standard transactions and document the accounting approach in accordance with IFRS.
- Develop, implement, and update the Group's accounting manuals, reporting instructions, and IFRS methodologies.
- Coordinate the group audit process: preparation of the Group Audit Package, processing auditor requests, and communication with external auditors.
- Support Reporting Accountants in resolving complex IFRS issues during month-end, year-end, and statutory reporting.
- Review financial statements and disclosures prepared by Reporting Accountants for compliance with IFRS and Group accounting policies.
- Support the consolidation process, including consolidation adjustments, intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, and consolidation reconciliations.
- Monitor new IFRS standards and regulatory changes, assess their impact on the Group, and implement necessary changes.
- Participate in the automation, standardization, and optimization of financial reporting, consolidation, and technical accounting processes.
What We Expect From You
- 4+ years of relevant professional experience in IFRS financial reporting, consolidation, or audit.
- Strong practical knowledge of IFRS and experience applying standards to complex and non-standard transactions.
- Experience independently preparing the Group's consolidated financial statements and related disclosures.
- Deep understanding of consolidation principles, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, and consolidation adjustments.
- Practical experience applying IFRS 15 to revenue recognition.
- Confident understanding of the principles for preparing Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow, and Statement of Changes in Equity.
- Practical experience with ERP systems, including understanding data entry and transaction processing, General Ledger structure and financial reporting, ability to analyze and verify data from ERP, and experience with consolidation modules or multi-entity reporting.
- Completed or ongoing ACCA, DipIFR, CIMA certification, or similar professional qualification.
- Advanced Excel and English at B2 level or higher.
- Analytical thinking and the ability to apply professional judgment in complex IFRS cases.
- Attention to detail and high standards for the quality of financial statements and technical documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple reporting and audit deadlines simultaneously.
- Ownership of complex accounting issues – from initial analysis to implementation and final documentation.
- Ability to clearly explain complex IFRS issues to Reporting Accountants, auditors, and non-financial stakeholders.
- Continuous improvement mindset and readiness to systematically enhance accounting methodologies and reporting processes.
Nice to Have
- Experience using AI tools for accounting research, IFRS analysis, technical documentation preparation, and reporting process optimization.
- Experience automating and improving financial reporting or consolidation processes.
What You'll Gain in This Role
- Work with IFRS at the level of an international Group – diverse jurisdictions, business models, and non-standard transactions.
- High level of autonomy and influence on IFRS methodology, accounting policies, and financial reporting approaches.
- Complex professional cases where you need not just to apply a standard, but to form and justify the accounting treatment.
- Opportunity to build and improve reporting processes, not just work within an already established system.
- Direct interaction with external auditors and the Group's financial team.
- A role with room for professional growth as the business and financial function scale.
