Payward—the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, and others—has spent 15 years building a globally accessible financial infrastructure platform. We are now looking for a Staff Product Designer to lead the design of elite AI products, including a personal finance agent that shapes how people spend, save, invest, and live.

This is a 0→1 opportunity where you will have full ownership of the design process, working directly with product, engineering, and leadership.

The Opportunity

• End-to-End Ownership: Lead discovery, concept, prototyping, delivery, and launch.
• 0→1 Product Building: Turn early ideas and rough problem spaces into tangible, real-world products.
• AI Innovation: Build external B2C AI products and internal tools that redefine how Payward operates.
• Design for Ambiguity: Define problems and set direction in a fast-paced, non-deterministic environment.
• Non-Deterministic UX: Shape how users interact with, understand, and trust intelligent systems where outputs vary.
• Strategic Influence: Partner with leadership to influence product strategy and roadmaps.
• Rapid Prototyping: Make ideas tangible quickly to test, learn, and iterate.
• Research-Driven: Use user research, data, and experimentation to inform design decisions.

What You Bring

• Experience: 7+ years in product design with a portfolio demonstrating exceptional craft and impact.
• Track Record: Proven ability to take products from zero to launch as the lead or sole designer.
• Product Thinking: Comfort with ambiguity; ability to make sound decisions with incomplete information.
• AI/Generative Design: Experience designing for non-deterministic, AI-powered, or probabilistic products is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Strong UX/visual design skills and advanced prototyping capabilities.
• Systems Thinking: Ability to create coherent, scalable experiences from scratch.
• Collaboration: Experience influencing cross-functional strategy and decision-making.
