What You Will Do
- Inspire confidence in Luma customers and prospects by creating emotional resonance and “Aha” moments in the sales process.
- Persuade and present the art of the possible, acting as a change agent in deals by recommending winning solutions.
- Demonstrate solutions with confidence and leverage empathy to build trust during the deal cycle.
- Build personal rapport with buyers at all levels.
- Challenge the status quo and effectively de-position competitors.
- Engage with healthcare organizations to understand their technical requirements and challenges.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the sales team in addressing customer needs.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations showcasing the value proposition of our solutions.
- Assist in developing customized solutions tailored to healthcare clients.
- Collaborate with product development to ensure seamless integration with existing healthcare systems.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and product development teams on an effective go-to-market strategy.
- Gather feedback from key stakeholders to continuously improve offerings.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer in healthcare technology.
- In-depth knowledge of major EHR systems (Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, MEDITECH), including integration architecture.
- Proven experience with patient access and engagement workflows (scheduling, intake, referral management, patient communication platforms).
- Solid understanding of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) concepts (eligibility verification, prior authorization, referral workflows, billing processes).
- Comfortable discussing API and integration concepts such as HL7, FHIR, and webhooks with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience independently responding to RFPs and RFIs.
- Strong discovery skills with the ability to map current-state workflows and connect pain points to product value.
- Excellent presentation and demo delivery skills across clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders.
- Active user of AI tools to drive personal productivity and day-to-day efficiencies.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a startup or high-growth SaaS environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI-powered voice and messaging products, workflow automation tools, and patient engagement platforms is a plus.

- Base Salary Range: $120,000 — $140,000 USD (plus target bonus and stock options).
