
Mercury is the fintech startups use for banking and all their financial workflows. Weβre looking to bring someone smart onto our Ongoing Due Diligence (ODD) team to help us out. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced individual with a background in either risk, banking, compliance, AML, fraud or regulatory to assist our ODD team.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough reviews of existing accounts to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and providing support for our BPO partners.
Responsibilities
- Conduct KYC Refresh and/or Enhanced Due Diligence Reviews as needed
- Identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary volumes through trends and themes associated to reviews conducted
- Support our BPO partners with escalations tied to various review types tied to CIP, CDD & EDD
- Communicate effectively with various stakeholders and customers
- After account review, document rationale to maintain or exit decisions on customer accounts
- Identify and escalate any potential issues or concerns to management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all reviews conducted
Requirements
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements
- Highly motivated self-starter, comfortable working within a fast paced environment
- Ability to work efficiently and independently, knowing when to ask for help
- Experience working autonomously in a queue-based role, prioritizing work and keeping an organized, clean inbox and queue
- Emphasis on quality with close attention to detail to keep bad actors out and ensure good customers are let in
- Great critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written communication skills
