Job Overview

We are building a dedicated finance presence inside each of our business divisions. As Director, Operational Finance, you will be the embedded finance partner to a division's CEO and leadership team—the person who knows the division’s numbers, helps leaders make better decisions, and ensures divisional performance is accurately reflected in company-wide planning.

You will report to the SVP of Finance, with a dotted-line relationship to your division’s CEO and the Head of FP&A, working alongside the Corporate Finance team. This is an individual contributor role with significant visibility and a clear path to growth.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partner with divisional leadership: Serve as the primary corporate finance and financial operations contact for your assigned division, working closely with the division CEO and executive team.
  • Drive consistency across divisions: Translate corporate FP&A reporting standards into division-specific execution, standardizing definitions and metrics (e.g., bookings standardization, ARR metrics, and margin expansion).
  • Shape the plan: Bring divisional context, assumptions, and priorities into the annual budget managed by Corporate Finance, keeping the division aligned with company-wide planning cycles.
  • Assist with forecasting: Support division leadership with forecasting updates, performance tracking, and operational improvements. Act as financial chief of staff to the division CEO while aligning with corporate goals.
  • Flag risks early: Identify and escalate critical items, risks, and variances across bookings, retention, and costs to divisional leadership and the central FP&A organization.
  • Find efficiencies: Identify and drive operational efficiencies, developing topline cost-savings and upside opportunities in partnership with divisional leaders.
  • Own adjustment tracking: Own tracking of below-the-line (BTL) adjustment realization for your division and report progress to Corporate Finance for lender and board reporting.
  • Support close and reporting cycles: Provide divisional input for monthly and quarterly close processes, conduct variance analysis, and prepare commentary for management and board reporting.
  • Partner across the organization: Collaborate with shared services including Deal Desk, Operations, Accounts Receivable, Sales Operations, and Sales Compensation to drive execution.
  • Support M&A: Lead synergy identification and tracking for acquisitions within your division and assist Corporate Finance with diligence and integration.

Requirements & Skills

  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in FP&A, business finance, or finance partnering, including experience in a SaaS business.
  • Working knowledge of SaaS metrics (ARR, bookings, retention, margin) and the drivers behind them.
  • Strong financial modeling and variance analysis skills, tailored for executive audiences.
  • Experience partnering directly with senior business leaders (CEO, GM, Head of Sales) and influencing without direct authority.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate analysis into strategic recommendations.
  • Experience in a private-equity-backed company, including lender or sponsor reporting.
  • Experience with M&A, synergy tracking, or post-acquisition integration.
  • Experience with modern planning platforms (Pigment preferred, or Adaptive, Anaplan, Planful).
  • Experience with multi-product or multi-entity software businesses.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $160,000 – $170,000 USD annually
  • Bonus: Annual bonus eligibility
  • Health & Wellness: Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance, FSA & HSA options, Pet Insurance, and Employee Assistance Program
  • Retirement: 401(k) with employer match
  • Time Off: Open PTO, 11 Paid Holidays, and 4 Annual Paid Global Wellness Days
  • Family: Paid Parental Leave, STD, LTD, and Group Life Insurance
  • Professional Growth: LinkedIn Learning platform access and professional development opportunities
