Note on working hours: Modern Health is a fully remote workforce. To help our team stay connected, US-based team members outside the Pacific time zone are expected to work at least six hours between 8 am and 5 pm Pacific time each workday. This position is not eligible to be performed in Hawaii.
The Role
As a Senior Client Manager, you will own Modern Health’s employer relationships from launch through contract renewal. You are responsible for partnering with Fortune 500 companies to drive product adoption, engagement, client retention, and growth. You will partner closely with senior HR executives and business leaders, serving as a product expert, strategic consultant, and mental health champion.
What You’ll Do
- Manage a portfolio of key client accounts, serving as the face of Modern Health for high-priority customers.
- Build and manage relationships with global stakeholders including Benefit Managers, HR Executives, and consultants.
- Represent Client Management in sales initiatives, showing how we support and partner with customers.
- Conduct regular global account meetings to refine and align customer strategies.
- Partner with clients to define and execute custom program strategies integrated into their broader benefit offerings.
- Drive engagement with mental wellness programs, converting clients into references and case studies.
- Act as the primary contact for global solution updates and serve as an escalation contact for urgent matters.
- Maintain an understanding of diverse cultural nuances influencing client interactions worldwide.
- Provide implementation support in conjunction with the US-based implementation team.
- Deliver Benefit Overview sessions and educate clients on available training topics.
- Lead global QBRs/ABRs and handle day-to-day reporting requests.
- Use data, storytelling, and actionable recommendations to guide decision-making.
- Leverage tools like Looker, Gainsight, and Salesforce to evaluate account health, opportunities, and risks.
- Drive measurable engagement and revenue outcomes (utilization, retention, renewals, expansion).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Sales, and Clinical Care.
Requirements
Experience & Background
- 10+ years managing client relationships or selling to HR leaders; experience in employer benefits and healthcare is a strong plus.
- Proven success strategically and autonomously managing a book of business with executive sponsors and HR decision-makers.
Language Skills
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
Client Engagement & Success
- Track record of achieving high retention, adoption, renewal, and expansion metrics.
- Skilled at developing and implementing account strategies to maximize customer value and revenue growth.
- Ability to build trusted relationships as a strategic advisor.
- Proactive in risk identification, issue resolution, objection handling, and negotiations.
- Engaging presentation skills with experience leading QBRs/ABRs.
Skills & Mindset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using tools like Salesforce, Gainsight, and Looker.
- Ability to derive actionable insights from customer data and align solutions with client business goals.
- Agile, flexible, and comfortable building scalable processes in fast-paced environments.
