Note: To be eligible for this role, you must graduate in December 2026 and be able to start full-time by January/February 2027.

What You'll Achieve

  • Product Development: Plan, shape, and build new features from conception through research, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Performance & Reliability: Improve existing features, such as syncing dictionaries across browsers or optimizing search indexing.
  • Internal Tooling: Build tools to support team productivity and simplicity.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Graduation date by Dec 2026; available for full-time start in Jan/Feb 2027.
  • Previous internship experience.
  • Working proficiency in one or more languages such as TypeScript, Node.js, or Python.

Skills You'll Need

  • Impact-Driven: You prioritize user impact over specific tech stacks and stay current with AI-assisted development tools.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to decompose complex problems and collaborate effectively with teammates.
  • Team Player: Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Web Passion: Experience building quality UIs using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React.
  • Backend Familiarity: Understanding of system architecture and database systems (e.g., Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB).

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with our stack: React, TypeScript, Node.js, Postgres, and Elasticsearch.
  • A passion for building software solutions and an interest in the intersection of technology and society.
  • Familiarity with computing pioneers like Ada Lovelace and Douglas Engelbart.
