Impact of a Senior Solutions Architect

As a Senior Solutions Architect, AI-Native SDLC, you will make Upsun Dispatch real inside our most important customers. Upsun Dispatch closes the gap between shipping more code via AI and shipping more product, built on the idea that the workflow is the primitive, not the agent.

You own the technical relationship across the full arc, before and after signature. You will understand how customers ship today, design workflows and architecture that fit their actual environment, and prove it with working implementations.

What to expect

• Win the Technical Decision: Own the technical relationship on your opportunities — discovery, architecture and security review, proofs of value, and trust-building with engineering leaders.
• Grow the Accounts You Own: Expand from the first workflow to the second and third, inside both new logos and existing customers.
• Build the First Working Version: Build workflows, custom steps, and integrations yourself against each customer's GitHub or GitLab, Jira or Linear, Slack, and existing CI.
• Drive the Market Feedback Loop: Translate customer signal into structured input for product and engineering.
• Make the Next Deployment Cheaper: Capture each deployment as a reusable pattern — a reference architecture, a workflow template, or a documented approach.
• Technical Leadership: Handle security questionnaires, architecture reviews, compliance questions, and RFP inputs, while delivering technical workshops and executive briefings.

What you bring

• Foundational Solutions Architecture: 7+ years in technical roles with substantial time in customer-facing architecture (solutions architecture, principal/lead pre-sales engineering, technical consulting, professional services, or founding engineer).
• Hands-on Technical Depth: Comfortable dropping into an unfamiliar codebase and CI setup to build your own proofs. Proficient in at least one ecosystem: PHP and Symfony, JavaScript and TypeScript, Python, or Go.
• Modern SDLC Fluency: Real fluency in Git workflows, CI/CD, testing strategy, code review practice, and release management.
• Cloud & Infrastructure Competence: Containers, environments, secrets handling, cloud primitives, and production operations.
• AI-Native Expertise: Experience building with agents (multi-step agentic workflows, tool and MCP integration, context engineering, evaluating/steering model output, cost/latency tradeoffs, and governance).
• Value Selling Fundamentals: Strong ability to anchor technical conversations in business outcomes.
• Executive Presence: Ability to engage VPs of Engineering, security reviewers, and finance stakeholders effectively.
• Strong Written Communication: Clear architecture documents, runbooks, and briefs.
• Comfort with Ambiguity: Ability to build and revise the first version of products in a young category across time zones.
