Who We Are

Polar is the complete data platform for omnichannel commerce. We connect every data source a brand runs on—Shopify, Amazon, NetSuite, Meta, Google, Klaviyo—into a single Snowflake warehouse, layer a commerce semantic layer on top, and add AI so operators can ask questions, get answers, and automate workflows without writing SQL.

Our founders came from Turo and Airbnb in Silicon Valley. We support 4,000+ merchants with zero direct competition. We've shipped MCP integrations with Claude and ChatGPT, AI automations, and an AI Data Engineer that builds connectors on demand. Our positioning: the data layer to build agent workflows for commerce.

How We Operate

We are a remote-first team that runs daily standups, ships weekly, and holds ourselves to a high standard. We operate by core principles including Customer Obsession, Own the Number, Raise the Pace, Don't Fail Silently, Here to Win, Not to Be Right, and Optimize for Polar, Not Your Function.

What You Will Do

1. Deploy AI agents with customers, end to end. Scope the workflow, build it, get it into production, and measure whether it actually removed cost or created revenue.
2. Talk to customers directly. Weekly calls, Slack channels, on-site when it matters. You will own relationships, not just tickets.
3. Build on core systems. Data pipelines, semantic layer, RAG, evaluation harnesses, and experimentation at petabyte scale.
4. Turn one deployment into a product. Every custom agent you build should make the next ten easier. You'll decide what gets promoted from bespoke to platform.
5. Work directly with the CTO on pre-sales technical calls, architecture decisions, pipeline issues, and pricing models for new agents.

Who You Are

• Hungry and business-oriented. You care about the customer's P&L and can hold a conversation with a CMO about paid media efficiency before writing the pipeline.
• Very organized. You run your own week with nothing dropped or forgotten.
• Sharp. You get to the actual problem fast and are comfortable pushing back when something is the wrong thing to build.
• Strong CS/engineering fundamentals—JavaScript and SQL at a minimum. Real experience with LLMs/agents is a big plus; obsessive curiosity about them is mandatory.
• Heavy user of AI development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) or ready to get up to speed within a week.
• Excellent written and spoken English. French is a bonus.
