Technical Account Manager - Prismatic

Prismatic is the integration platform that helps B2B software companies build integrations fast and deliver them at scale. We're turning integrations from a bottleneck into a growth driver for hundreds of companies, from high-growth startups to Fortune 500s.

Our platform handles everything that breaks at scale, so teams can ship integrations, not infrastructure. It provides flexible, AI-enabled build experiences through code-native, low-code, and an embedded workflow builder, plus self-service configuration and an embedded marketplace.

Prismatic is well-funded with strong product-market fit and a high-agency, driven, collaborative culture.

About the Role

As a Technical Account Manager, you own the ongoing technical success of a named set of customers. You understand what they are building, why it matters to their business, and how Prismatic fits into their product and architecture. You help new work achieve its goals and keep existing integrations operating reliably as their needs evolve.

You build relationships with the engineering and product leaders who guide the work and the developers who deliver it. From initial implementation through production adoption, new use cases, and technical challenges, you turn customer priorities into a clear plan and stay accountable for moving it forward. You bring recommendations to the customer, help their team make sound technical decisions, and involve the right Prismatic specialists when needed.

You partner with an Account Manager who owns the commercial relationship, aligning technical priorities and progress with the customer's business goals.

This role requires strong technical judgment. You should be comfortable discussing integration architecture, understanding API and execution behavior, and investigating enough detail to frame a problem and evaluate a recommendation. You remain accountable for the customer's technical progress while coordinating the people best equipped to deliver the work, stepping into technical investigation and practical guidance when needed.

What You Will Do

  • Know your accounts: Understand each customer's software business: who they serve, how their product creates value, and what is driving their roadmap. Connect that context to their integration priorities, architecture, and technical stakeholders so your recommendations support their product and business goals.
  • Own the technical relationship: Lead regular technical conversations with customer builders and the people directing their work. Come prepared with relevant recommendations, questions, and next steps based on their priorities and how they use Prismatic.
  • Drive work to an agreed result: Turn customer goals into scoped technical objectives with success criteria, owners, milestones, and dates. Align customer builders and Prismatic specialists on the work needed for implementation, production launches, feature adoption, and migrations. Surface dependencies and stalls early and follow through on actual use and results.
  • Build customer capability: Identify where customer teams need guidance, provide practical advice, and organize focused working sessions with the right technical experts. Follow through until customers can apply that guidance and build and operate effectively.
  • Improve how customers operate: Use adoption data, integration performance, support history, and customer feedback to identify risks and opportunities. Recommend improvements to reliability, usage, and cost, and follow through to confirm the results.
  • Lead technical escalations: Establish the problem, customer impact, and recovery plan; coordinate Support, architecture specialists, Product, and Engineering; and follow through until recovery is verified. Keep the customer and Account Manager informed of progress, risks, and next steps.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation: Triage critical customer incidents, coordinate with Engineering, and own customer communication.
  • Help customers adopt what comes next: Identify relevant capabilities and use cases and connect them to the customer's priorities. Bring in Solution Engineering for demos and technical selling, supply the account context they need, and carry resulting technical commitments into the customer's plan.
  • Make the account team effective: Maintain clear architecture notes and action plans, prepare specialists with the context they need, and bring customer evidence to Product and Engineering to improve the platform.

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role in B2B SaaS, such as technical account management, implementation engineering, solutions engineering, professional services, or technical support with ongoing account responsibility.
  • Deep understanding of how software businesses grow and how product teams prioritize roadmaps, balance customer needs with engineering capacity, and make build-versus-buy decisions.
  • Strong technical foundation in production integrations, including REST APIs, OAuth, webhooks, asynchronous processing, error handling, and rate limits. Ability to use technical documentation, logs, and code examples to investigate issues.
  • Ability to connect a customer's product goals to technical requirements, discuss architecture tradeoffs, and work with specialists to evaluate proposed solutions.
  • Proven record of building credibility with engineers and product leaders, asking useful questions, and recommending paths forward under incomplete requirements or shifting priorities.
  • Experience independently managing ongoing technical relationships across multiple customers, prioritizing competing needs, and driving cross-team work to measurable results.
  • Strong initiative to identify adoption gaps, operational risks, and useful next steps.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Effective use of AI in day-to-day work to research accounts, synthesize context, investigate technical questions, and improve follow-through.
  • Demonstrated success leading technical work across teams and taking accountability for outcomes.
  • Experience and comfort working as part of a fully remote team.
  • Residence in the United States.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with embedded integration platforms, developer tools, or products used by B2B software companies to serve their own end users.
  • Software development experience, particularly with TypeScript/JavaScript, GraphQL, CI/CD, multi-tenant systems, integration observability, or cost optimization.
  • Experience helping customers adopt AI agent tooling, MCP, or new integration capabilities.
