Engineering Manager, RC Capital - RevenueCat

RevenueCat gives app businesses the infrastructure and tools to build, run, and improve their monetization. Since graduating from YC's S18 batch, we've grown into the default monetization platform for mobile, processing $16B+ in annual purchase volume across 50%+ of newly shipped subscription apps.

The Role

We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead engineering for RC Capital — a zero-to-one team on the ground floor of a brand-new business line. You'll help design, build, ship, and support the infrastructure behind Early Payouts and whatever we build next:

• Underwriting and risk monitoring
• Money movement and reconciliation
• Partner bank integrations
• Fraud detection

This role blends technical depth with direct exposure to financial products (factoring, underwriting, risk, banking integrations). A background in fintech, financial services, or a related regulated/risk-sensitive domain is essential.

Note: Although we're fully remote, this team is based across US and European time zones, so there is an expectation of overlap in working hours.

About You

• 6+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• 3+ years of experience managing software engineering teams.
• Experience working cross-functionally to build prioritized roadmaps for your teams.
• Ability to balance shipping new features, managing tech debt, and investing in system improvements.
• Hands-on technical capability to perform code reviews and bug investigation when needed.
• Comfortable writing SQL queries to analyze data and find inconsistencies.
• Experience guiding teams to consistently produce value through shorter iterative development cycles.
• Experience providing technical leadership and coaching engineers in career development.
• Customer-obsessed mindset, prioritizing user outcomes and experiences.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a highly engaged distributed team by hiring, supporting, and coaching members to deliver continuously.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and support teams to set direction and anticipate strategic scaling challenges through long-term planning.
• Execute the product roadmap iteratively, establishing efficient and transparent processes.
• Continuously improve engineering organization practices to create a strong sense of ownership, belonging, and inclusivity.
