Frontend Infrastructure Engineer - Senior/Staff

This is a frontend system engineering role focused on evolving Seeq’s frontend React infrastructure, state management, design system, and building reusable application patterns for a complex enterprise product. You will shape not just UI primitives, but the broader frontend foundations that teams use to build clear, consistent, high-quality experiences across data-dense workflows.

Passionate about crafting exceptional software, you revel in writing code with elegance, extensibility, and maintainability as your guiding principles.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the evolution of Seeq’s frontend system, improving component quality, consistency, usability, and developer experience across the product.
  • Build systems that set up AI-driven development for success by codifying best practices that are easy for agents to follow.
  • Leverage open-source ecosystem tools like Zustand, TanStack Query, and StyleX with taste and judgment, extending and adapting them to fit Seeq’s product standards.
  • Ensure refactors and migrations to new patterns are executed with a high bar for quality, partnering closely with product teams to roll out changes smoothly.

What We’re Looking For

  • Exceptional frontend engineer with strong product sense, visual taste, and systems thinking.
  • Real experience creating, evolving, and shipping design systems or component libraries used in production applications.
  • Highly effective in React and TypeScript with exposure to popular ecosystem libraries like Zustand, StyleX, or TanStack Query.
  • Strong ownership and agency to identify gaps and drive improvements through to completion.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in software development, with a solid record of designing, building, and evolving complex software systems.
  • Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and HTML primitives.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, building, or significantly evolving shared frontend systems (design systems, component libraries, state management, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture, state management, server/client data flow, and rendering behavior.
  • Experience leading or contributing significantly to large-scale frontend refactors or migrations across a production application.
  • Strong judgment in evaluating and adopting open-source frontend technologies.
  • Ability to diagnose root causes of complex frontend defects and performance issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience creating clear technical documentation and conventions.
  • At Staff level, demonstrated experience setting frontend technical direction or creating shared architectural patterns adopted by multiple teams.
  • Authorized to work in the country in which you reside (US work visa sponsorship not available).
