About the Role
Spellbook is seeking a generalist Platform and Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. You'll be instrumental in building the technical foundations that enable Spellbook to scale.
As part of our growing engineering team, you will focus on three key areas:
- Building technology foundations: Own and evolve foundational platform systems (identity and access, core data models, internal platform capabilities).
- Maintaining world-class quality: Drive us toward 99.5% service levels through improved monitoring, observability, and reliability practices, establishing QA foundations and development best practices.
- Enabling development velocity: Reduce friction in our dev environment and CI/CD pipeline, introducing productivity metrics and tooling improvements.

- Infrastructure management and optimization (AWS, MongoDB, infrastructure as code)
- Platform capabilities including authentication, authorization, entitlement, and AI inference
- CI/CD pipeline improvements and build tooling
