Where you'll leave your mark

• Own Quality Outcomes: Focus on quality metrics and building systems to move them, rather than counting test cases.
• Drive CI Pass Rate: Push and maintain CI pass rate to 90%+ without manual intervention.
• Manage Bug Leakage: Target under 2–3% of bugs escaping to staging or production, owning root cause analyses.
• Eliminate Flaky Tests: Build and maintain systems that keep flaky tests out of the suite.
• Shape Automation Coverage: Optimize coverage across E2E, API, and unit layers strategically.
• Hands-on Coding: Spend 50–60% of time writing Playwright TypeScript, building diagnostic tools, and reviewing PRs.
• AI-Native Quality Infrastructure: Leverage LLMs, agents, and AI tooling to solve quality problems at scale.
• Engineering-Wide Impact: Deliver initiatives that fundamentally improve how developers and PMs ship software.
• Partner and Present: Collaborate with product engineers on quality gates and present metrics to leadership.

What we're looking for

• An engineer specializing in quality (~40–50% strategy, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring).
• Engineering-wide scope rather than siloed QA-internal focus.
• Experience building AI-native quality systems and testing AI/LLM features.
• A test pyramid thinker comfortable pushing testing responsibilities to developers.
• Fluent in modern stacks including Playwright, TypeScript, and CI pipelines.
• Strong ability to influence without authority.
