Job Summary
As the Director of Product Marketing at Storyblok, we are looking for a Product Marketing Director to shape how we position, launch, and grow our product in the market — particularly in the US, UK, and EMEA. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can translate complex technical capability into compelling, credible narratives — and who's comfortable in the room with engineers as much as with executives. You'll own the connective tissue between Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing at a stage where positioning decisions have outsized impact on growth.
You will guide a talented team, focusing on sales enablement, website conversion, feature adoption, and Storyblok’s market positioning with industry analysts and customer review platforms. A key responsibility is to elevate our product marketing function to influence revenue, customer acquisition, and market leadership.
Your mission is to enable Storyblok to win in the market by clearly articulating our value, differentiation, and future direction.
You're genuinely comfortable operating in technical territory, not just translating it secondhand. You can read API documentation, understand headless CMS architecture, and hold a credible, detailed conversation with engineers and technical evaluators about how the product actually works — its components, integration points, and trade-offs versus alternative approaches. This fluency shows up in the quality of your messaging: you write positioning that developers trust because it's accurate, not just persuasive.

- Set the standard for translating product capabilities and roadmap into solution-oriented, benefits-led messaging that resonates across the buyer journey.

Go-To-Market Strategy & Execution
- Own GTM strategy for major product and feature launches, driving alignment across Product, Growth, Sales, Customer Success, and Content leadership.
- Define phased rollout strategies that drive awareness, adoption, and revenue impact across key customer segments.
- Set the standard for launch toolkits — messaging frameworks, FAQs, competitive positioning, product one-pagers, internal training — and build the team capability to produce them at scale.
- Establish the measurement framework for launch performance and adoption, using it to continuously improve release execution.
Sales Enablement & Sales Plays
- Build a structured sales playbook program aligned to product capabilities, customer pain points, and vertical use cases.
- Equip revenue teams with high-impact content (battlecards, ROI calculators, solution briefs, demo scripts, objection handling).
- Partner directly with Sales Leadership on rep onboarding, conversion effectiveness, and keeping messaging aligned to evolving sales motions.
- Use sales performance data, win/loss interviews, and customer feedback to identify and prioritize enablement investments.
Analyst & Review Site Strategy
- Define and lead the analyst relations strategy to secure meaningful participation in key analyst evaluations (e.g., Gartner Magic Quadrant, Forrester Wave, IDC MarketScape).
- Orchestrate analyst briefing cycles, submission processes, and relationships that enhance Storyblok’s visibility and influence.
- Own our presence and growth strategy on review platforms (G2, Gartner Peer Insights), including review acquisition and profile optimization.
- Establish ongoing monitoring and response mechanisms for public reviews and rankings.
Website & CRO Performance
- Partner with Growth Marketing and Web leadership to ensure product positioning is clearly and consistently represented site-wide.
- Set priorities for CRO initiatives that improve engagement, conversion, and self-serve funnel performance.
- Define messaging strategy and success metrics for key product pages, feature highlights, and trial flows.
- Direct ongoing testing and optimization of messaging, CTAs, layouts, and journey flows based on data.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the Product Marketing team to deliver high-impact outcomes aligned with company goals.
- Set team structure, priorities, and ways of working in partnership with marketing leadership.
