About the Team

The Management API team is central to the Supabase stack. Built with TypeScript and Nest.js, it powers internal service communication, the Supabase Studio, and integrations with third-party services like Vercel, Resend, and Lovable. We are looking for an engineer to maintain our existing API, expand OAuth capabilities, and improve overall reliability.

What You Will Do

• Design, implement, and maintain internal and public-facing APIs for Studio, CLI, and management services.
• Develop custom integrations with third-party platforms and partners.
• Collaborate with DevOps and Frontend teams to ensure seamless API functionality.
• Build and enhance testing, debugging, and monitoring tools to ensure API stability and performance.
• Work with the dev-workflows team to improve the Branching experience for users.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in backend API development.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript and Node.js (Nest.js, Express, Vitest, Zod).
• Experience designing scalable APIs (versioning, pagination, error handling).
• Familiarity with OAuth, JWT, and security best practices (rate limiting, CORS).
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and relational databases.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and containerized deployments.
