About the Role

We’re looking for an EngProd Engineer to join our Engineering Operations team and own the engineering experience from local setup to production deploy. You’ll build and integrate the tools our engineers rely on every day: local development, code search, testing, code review, CI, AI-assisted workflows, and the metrics that show where time is being lost.

What You’ll Be Responsible for

Improve Local Development and Daily Workflow

• Own local development environment stability; eliminate “works on my machine” issues and ensure reproducible environments.
• Improve the daily editing experience, including IDE tooling, extensions, and fast code search/navigation.
• Build paved roads: project scaffolding, templates, and golden-path workflows.

Speed Up Build, Test, and CI

• Improve testing tooling, including test orchestration and ephemeral end-to-end environments.
• Profile build and test performance; optimize CI pipelines, parallelize/shard tests, and implement aggressive caching.
• Integrate and optimize code review tooling and automated review processes.

Bring AI into Development

• Evaluate and integrate AI coding agents and assistants that deliver leverage without sacrificing quality.
• Build and curate skills, extensions, and plugins for AI tools.
• Measure the impact of AI tooling to ensure effective investment.

Drive Engineering Excellence

• Champion best practices and act as a force multiplier for the engineering organization.
• Track productivity metrics (e.g., DORA) to identify and reduce cycle time bottlenecks.
• Track code-quality signals and build dashboards to make quality visible.

You Might Be a Good Fit If You

• Have 7+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on developer productivity, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
• Are proficient in Go, TypeScript, Python, Rust, and shell scripting.
• Have experience with CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD), containerization (Docker, Nix), and monorepo tooling (Nx, Turborepo, Bazel).
• Have a clear point of view on AI-assisted development tools.
• Communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Have experience working in async or globally distributed teams.
