About the Role

We're hiring a Product Manager for Supabase Realtime. You'll own the surface area developers use to build live, collaborative and event-driven apps on Supabase: Broadcast, Presence, Postgres Changes, and the capabilities we build next.

You'll work closely with the Realtime Engineering team and with partners across Product Management, Design, and GTM.

This role is ideal for someone who's excited about building tools for millions of developers and who has a passion for the types of user experiences unlocked by simple, scalable real-time channels. You should have a nuanced understanding of full-stack application development, including existing and emerging real-time and sync patterns.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Collaborate with customers of all sizes and expertise levels: from an indie developer adding live updates to a side project, to startups building collaborative SaaS, to enterprise teams streaming live data to dashboards.
• Own the problem statements and solution rationale behind the Realtime roadmap: work with Engineering and Design to shape how Supabase crafts the developer experience for prioritized problems.
• Shape how Realtime evolves to enable future application experiences: including its role in AI apps and alongside other Supabase products.
• Own Realtime packaging and pricing: collaborate directly with Pricing, Finance, and Billing.
• Use data to understand feature usage: discover where developers succeed, where they get stuck, and what to tackle first.
• Keep Engineering, Design, and GTM aligned: own the plan of record for what's coming, why, and in what order.

You Might Be a Good Fit If You

Must have

• 5+ years of Product Management experience on developer tools, or ex-founder with equivalent depth. You're comfortable commenting on an architecture doc, following a design discussion, and advocating for the user when trade-offs are required.
• Have owned an app development platform, feature, or framework where real-time was core to the developer experience.
• Get your own answers from data and are comfortable querying and cleaning your own findings.
• Are comfortable with Postgres and familiar with logical replication.
• Work async by default in a fully remote environment, making decisions in writing and moving work forward without meetings.

Strong signal

• Have an existing audience among developers through social media, open source, or developer advocacy.
• Worked on a sync engine, local-first, or live-query product.
• Worked with gaming, AR, or collaborative-tool customers.
• Shipped something using Supabase.
