
At Sword Health, we are pioneering AI Care—a fundamentally new approach to healthcare built for medical reasoning, safety, and real-time treatment. We are hiring pediatricians (Contractors) to provide clinical care to families through our platform. This is a genuine clinical role where you will assess cases, reply directly to patients, prescribe, refer, or set follow-up plans as needed.
AI Proficiency at Sword
AI fluency is a core expectation at Sword. Every candidate is assessed against our three-level framework:
- Explorer (Level 1): Uses AI daily to boost personal productivity
- Builder (Level 2): Creates workflows and tools that elevate the whole team
- Integrator (Level 3): Embeds AI into products and processes at scale
Every hire must demonstrate at least Level 1 proficiency.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide clinical support to parents of children.
- Review clinical cases and resolve medical needs, performing appropriate follow-ups including prescriptions or clinical guidance.
- Share qualitative member feedback with product and clinical teams to continuously improve the patient experience.
What You Need to Have
- Medical Degree (Mestrado Integrado em Medicina): Current standing as a final-year pediatric resident (interno de pediatria) or fully qualified pediatrician.
- Active Medical License (cédula profissional): Registered with the Ordem dos Médicos, valid to prescribe independently in Portugal.
- Clinical Experience: Background in pediatrics, ideally including early childhood.
- Communication Skills: Clear, warm, and reassuring written communication through a digital chat interface.
- Shift Availability: Flexible for rotating shift coverage, including evenings and weekends, as part of 24/7 care coverage.
- Language Skills: Fluent in Portuguese (written and spoken) for all patient interactions.
