Senior Product Manager - Velora

About Velora

Aplos, Raisely, and Keela have come together to form one unified company, Velora, with a shared mission: to help nonprofit organizations thrive. While we continue to offer the products you know and love, we now operate as one team, dedicated to making nonprofit work easier, more impactful, and more sustainable.

Our combined expertise spans fundraising, donor management, financial tracking, and communications—offering a powerful suite of tools designed to reduce complexity so nonprofits can focus on what matters most: making a difference.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager to own cross-product and platform work across Velora, encompassing capabilities and experiences that span Aplos, Raisely, Keela, grant management, Velora Home, and Mission Assistant.

This is a senior IC seat. You’ll create clarity in ambiguity, own complex initiatives end-to-end with minimal oversight, and partner deeply with Engineering, Data, and GTM. You’ll use AI throughout how you work and where it creates step-change for customers. You’ll mentor more junior PMs through influence and craft standards; this is not a people-manager role.

Note: Some overlap with Pacific hours is required for collaboration across North America and our global team.

What You'll Be Doing

Direction and Discovery

  • Own Mission Assistant and cross-product initiatives end-to-end, from discovery through launch, adoption, and iteration.
  • Help shape the Mission Assistant roadmap across Aplos, Raisely, Keela, and grant management, coordinating dependencies with other product owners.
  • Lead customer research into nonprofit workflows and turn what you learn into focused bets, not feature lists.
  • Decide where AI creates a real step change for customers and where simpler product work is the better call.
  • Define success metrics up front, instrument impact, and close the loop after launch.

Delivery and Collaboration

  • Build working prototypes with AI tools, review them with your engineering pod in GitHub, and use feedback to sharpen requirements.
  • Partner with Engineering and Data on AI quality, reliability, cost, and user trust.
  • Work in small, project-based pods: weekly syncs with engineers, async prototype reviews in Slack, and Friday demos.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly to leadership and partners, presenting clear options and recommendations.
  • Support rollout with enablement for CS, Sales, and Marketing, while mentoring other PMs through critique, pairing, and craft standards.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 5+ years of product management in SaaS (ideally B2B), with a track record of owning products end-to-end from discovery through delivery and iteration.
  • Proven Track Record: Experience launching several significant product initiatives, not just executing against a backlog.
  • AI Expertise: Hands-on AI product experience, including tangible examples of AI features or prototypes you built or shipped and verified.
  • Technical Understanding: Solid working understanding of modern AI (generative AI, automation, agentic workflows) and awareness of where LLMs excel and fall short.
  • Daily AI Tooling: Comfort using AI tools daily in your product work, including building lightweight prototypes to test ideas.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to partner closely with engineers and data scientists, reasoning through trade-offs like quality, cost, reliability, and user trust.
  • Mindset: Senior IC ownership mindset—bringing structure to ambiguity and driving outcomes independently.
  • Customer & Business Focus: Curiosity about customers and broader business drivers, turning insights into focused bets backed by metrics.
  • Communication & Influence: Strong written communication and influence across Engineering, Design, Data, and GTM teams.
  • Domain Experience (Preferred): Background in nonprofit tech, fundraising, fund accounting, CRM, or grants management, or experience with multi-product platforms.

Why Work With Us?

  • Salary: Compensation band $140K - $178K CAD (dependent on skills, experience, and geographic location).
  • Paid Time Off: 4 weeks paid leave, 11 public holidays, generous paid sick leave, plus a 2-week end-of-year company shutdown.
  • Remote-First: Live and work wherever you are happiest (within approved hiring locations).
  • Learning & Growth: Budget and support for skill development, courses, and industry conferences.
  • Health Coverage & Retirement: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, along with a 4% retirement match.
