1Password is seeking a Senior Developer to join our Admin Workflows team. This role focuses on building simple and intuitive workflows for B2B Administrators to set up, manage, and enforce 1Password across their organizations, driving widespread adoption.

About the Role

As a Senior Developer on the Admin Workflows team, you will:

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable notification systems for administrators across email and integration channels.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and data teams to refine hypotheses, define measurable outcomes, and interpret results.
• Balance rapid iteration with long-term architectural health and security.
• Set an example in code reviews, evaluating code quality, architectural alignment, performance, security, and best practices.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical design discussions, and pairing.
• Directly influence measurable customer and business outcomes.

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience in a production SaaS environment.
• Strong experience building backend services in a modern language (e.g., Go, Node.js, Ruby, or Python).
• Deep experience with React and/or TypeScript in customer-facing web applications.
• Ability to operate autonomously, drive initiatives, and influence technical direction across teams.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a growth mindset and a bias toward continuous improvement.
• Strong product mindset with empathy for customers and a focus on delivering high-quality user experiences.

Bonus Points For:

• Security experience, including security-focused development practices, threat modeling, and building systems that handle sensitive data.
• Experience with containerized services and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Experience working with transactional email systems at scale (e.g., Amazon SES, SendGrid).

Compensation & Benefits

USA-based roles:
Annual base salary: $153,000 - $214,000 USD.
Benefits include health, dental, 401k, generous PTO, and an equity grant.

Canada-based roles:
Annual base salary: $144,000 - $202,000 CAD.
Benefits include health, dental, RRSP, generous PTO, and an equity grant.

Compensation is based on fair market value and internal equity.
