About the Role

Our Implementations and Onboarding team is responsible for understanding customer outcomes established during the sales process, building launch plans for success, and helping customers get the most out of 1Password's suite of products.

As Senior Manager Implementation and Onboarding, you will operate as a senior people leader, organizational architect, and strategic partner to cross-functional leaders. You will own team strategy, execution standards, capacity planning, and cross-functional alignment. This role requires a player-coach mindset with the ability to directly support complex implementations and guide the team through technical challenges.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: 8+ years of experience in post-sale SaaS roles (Implementation, Professional Services, or Solutions Engineering).
• Leadership: 4+ years of people management experience with demonstrated progression managing managers and/or multiple distinct technical functions.
• Technical Team Management: Proven experience leading both IC technical teams and specialized roles (e.g., Professional Services or TAMs).
• Customer Success: Track record of supporting customers across segments in complex, security-focused technical environments.
• Service Delivery: Experience implementing repeatable service delivery models and influencing the customer lifecycle (handoff, onboarding, adoption, renewal, expansion).
• Domain Expertise: Strong familiarity with security, identity, or IT administration domains strongly preferred.
• Bonus: Hands-on experience with 1Password or another password manager.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

• Build, scale, and lead multi-layered, high-performing technical onboarding teams.
• Manage managers and senior ICs, driving succession planning, talent development, and organizational design.
• Set and reinforce clear standards for technical excellence, customer engagement, and accountability.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for complex customer and organizational challenges.

Data & Technical Acumen

• Guide and challenge technical professionals using a strong foundation in technologies such as SSO, SCIM, directory services (AD, Okta, Azure AD), APIs, CLI tools, and SaaS architectures.
• Drive data-informed decision-making to identify trends, risks, and opportunities at scale.
• Define success metrics and operating rhythms for deployment and onboarding teams.
• Troubleshoot integrations, APIs, and automation workflows when necessary.

Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with Customer Success, Sales, Sales Engineering, Support, and Product leadership.
• Align executive audiences and stakeholders across functions to drive value realization and scalable outcomes.

Communication & Enablement

• Represent the technical post-sale organization in leadership forums with strong executive presence.
• Champion enablement, documentation, and shared learning across teams.

Compensation & Benefits

• USA Base Salary: $139,000 USD – $202,000 USD + commission eligibility.
• Canada Base Salary: $131,000 CAD – $190,000 CAD + commission eligibility.
