About the Role
ApartmentIQ is seeking a Principal Product Manager — a senior individual contributor (IC) role focused on developing strategic product vision while executing hands-on discovery and delivery.
You will identify market opportunities, define product roadmaps, and partner closely with engineering, design, analytics, and data science teams to bring solutions to market. Through deep customer engagement with multifamily operators, you will uncover user needs, validate concepts, and ensure we deliver products that solve meaningful problems.
This position balances big-picture strategic planning with tactical execution — conducting customer interviews, analyzing product metrics, defining requirements, prioritizing features, and guiding development cycles.
What Success Looks Like
- Deep customer empathy: Stay close to customers and build authentic relationships to understand what drives their decisions and challenges.
- Extreme ownership: Own outcomes end-to-end, surface risks early, and ensure details never slip.
- Bias for speed and action: Prioritize velocity, make sound decisions quickly, ship MVPs to prove value, and iterate on user behavior.
- Obsession with quality and details: Maintain high product standards and sweat the small details to create reliable, premium, and intuitive experiences.
- Decisive judgment: Operate comfortably in ambiguity and navigate complex tradeoffs decisively.
- Relentless drive: Push through blockers to consistently deliver impactful customer value within constraints.
