
About the Role
Help global companies embrace the latest private cloud infrastructure, Linux, and cloud-native operations. As a Cloud Field Engineer, you will act as a solutions architect and consultant, working hands-on to deploy, test, and deliver private and public cloud solutions. You will also function as a software engineer, utilizing Python to develop Kubernetes operators and infrastructure-as-code.
What You’ll Do
- Architect & Deploy: Design and deliver cloud infrastructure solutions (OpenStack, Kubernetes, Ceph, Hadoop, Spark) on-premises or in public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Engineering: Work across the entire Linux stack and develop open-source code using Python.
- Consulting: Act as a technical advisor, presenting solutions and providing training to customers.
- Collaboration: Coach colleagues, foster a healthy engineering culture, and participate in internal/external events (up to 25% global travel).
What We’re Looking For
- University degree in Computer Science or equivalent software engineering expertise.
- Sound knowledge of cloud computing (Kubernetes, OpenStack, AWS, GCP, Azure, Ceph).
- Practical experience with Linux and networking.
- Intermediate to Advanced Python programming skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
- Strong organizational skills and reliability.
- Optional: Proficiency in a second language.
