Enterprise Account Executive - Canonical

About the Role

Canonical is seeking ambitious Enterprise Account Executives to join our global sales team. This is a general track role, hiring for opportunities across all levels of seniority. You will be responsible for driving revenue by helping enterprises adopt open source solutions, from the data center to the cloud and edge.

What You Will Do

• Territory Management: Build and execute a territory plan to prioritize outreach, prospecting, and local marketing.
• Pipeline Development: Generate new business through proactive outreach and industry engagement.
• Sales Cycle Ownership: Manage customer relationships through all stages, from initial contact to contract closure.
• Strategic Collaboration: Work with field engineers to propose technical solutions and partner with customer success to identify growth opportunities.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasts within Salesforce.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: Proven track record in enterprise software or technology sales, with experience in open source technology.
• Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering or computer science.
• Skills: High intellect, empathy for customer needs, and the ability to communicate complex technical subjects clearly.
• Professionalism: Strong territory planning, account management, and reporting skills.
• Mobility: Ability to travel regionally for client engagements and internationally for company events twice a year.
