Global Treasury Analyst - Canonical

About the Role

Canonical is seeking a Global Treasury Analyst to optimize cash returns, manage currency holdings, and mitigate bank credit risk. Reporting directly to the CFO, this senior role involves forecasting liquidity requirements, modeling free cash flow, and managing foreign exchange exposure for a global organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Cash Management: Analyze, forecast, and manage global cash positions and liquidity across multiple entities and currencies.
• Risk Mitigation: Recommend strategies to manage foreign currency exposure and bank credit risk.
• Strategic Planning: Forecast business scenarios to optimize yield and operating efficiency.
• Compliance: Ensure robust controls for cash and investments; maintain compliance with SOX, FBAR, and FATCA.
• Reporting: Prepare and present treasury reports and strategies to executive leadership.
• Technology: Lead treasury management system implementations and identify process improvements.
• Collaboration: Work with accounting on inter-company transactions and support equity plan administration.

What We Are Looking For

• Education: Exceptional academic track record with an undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics, or a quantitative field.
• Certification: CTP, CFA, or equivalent treasury/analysis certification.
• Experience: Relevant professional experience in a global treasury function.
• Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; high level of curiosity and accountability.
• Travel: Ability to travel twice a year for company events (up to two weeks long).

Additional Skills (Preferred)

• Leadership experience or MBA.
• Experience in the software/tech industry or public company finance.
• Familiarity with transfer agents, equity plan administration, BI reporting, CRM, and ERP systems.
