Manager of Enterprise Open Source Sales Team - Canonical

About the Role

Canonical is seeking experienced Regional Sales Team Managers to lead teams of 5-10 enterprise sales representatives. As a leader in the open source space, we are expanding our global footprint and looking for ambitious professionals to drive the adoption of Ubuntu and our enterprise solutions across the data center, cloud, and edge.

What You Will Do

• Strategy & Planning: Build and execute territory plans to prioritize outreach and identify new logo accounts.
• Team Leadership: Allocate accounts, mentor sales representatives, and ensure high-quality account planning.
• Pipeline Management: Monitor pipeline development through prospecting, local marketing, and industry events; maintain accurate forecasts in Salesforce.
• Sales Execution: Support contract closures to meet and exceed quarterly and annual bookings targets.
• Collaboration: Work closely with customer success teams to identify growth opportunities and represent Canonical’s solutions to senior enterprise stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree (Engineering or Computer Science preferred).
• Proven leadership and management experience in enterprise software or technology sales.
• Strong understanding of open source technology, cloud, virtualization, and container environments.
• Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and winning new accounts.
• Exceptional planning, organization, and reporting skills.
• Ability to travel regionally for client engagements and internationally for company events.
• Professional fluency in English and relevant regional languages.
