Open Source Enterprise Sales Manager - North America

About the Role

Canonical is seeking a Regional Sales Manager in North America to lead our direct sales team. You will drive revenue growth for our open source software and Ubuntu platform, which powers breakthrough initiatives in public cloud, data science, AI, and IoT.

We are hiring for both Enterprise Sales Executives (managing direct customer relationships) and Alliances Sales Directors (managing go-to-market partners, hardware vendors, and distributors).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of the Linux and cloud software ecosystem.
• Build and expand strategic relationships with customers and partners.
• Own the strategy and development of sales engagements.
• Negotiate contracts and commercial business terms.
• Deliver on targets and provide a voice of the customer/partner to internal teams (Marketing, Product, Sales Engineering).
• Lead executive interlocks between partners/customers and Canonical leadership.
• Travel domestically and internationally to drive partnerships in person.

• Proven track record of achieving outstanding revenue results in the technology sector.
• Strong experience with Linux and open source models.
• Exceptional academic background (undergraduate degree in a technical subject preferred).
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, think strategically, and mentor team members.
• High level of personal drive, accountability, and curiosity.
• Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events.
