Partner Sales Manager - Hewlett Packard Enterprise, India

About the Role

Canonical is looking for a Partner Sales Manager to join our growing IHV team. You will be responsible for building trusted relationships with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), increasing Canonical's market share and attach rate, and evangelizing our partnership across all levels—from engineers to CxOs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Growth: Build strategic relationships and enable HPE teams on the Canonical partnership.
  • Pipeline Management: Build pipeline and transact opportunities through HPE.
  • Evangelism: Grow HPE’s awareness of open source capabilities on Canonical Ubuntu.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Linux and cloud software ecosystem.
  • Execution: Deliver on targets, objectives, and provide a voice of the partner to internal teams.
  • Collaboration: Align and support internal Canonical field teams to identify, support, grow, and transact.
  • Expansion: Expand existing footprint with HPE customers with an aim to upsell to the broader portfolio.
  • Engagement: Run customer workshops, attend sales events, give public presentations, and participate in executive engagements.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience in alliance or indirect sales management roles.
  • Strong sales acumen with the ability to build and manage a pipeline.
  • Autonomous, disciplined, hands-on, and a 'get-it-done' mentality.
  • Ability to capture customer requirements, evaluate gaps, and create opportunities.
  • Passion for Ubuntu products and our open source mission.
  • Experience with Linux, virtualization, containers, and cloud technologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Credibility and working knowledge of HPE products, go-to-market motion, and field operations.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel regularly, including internationally (up to 4 times a year).
