About the Role

Canonical is seeking an exceptional Revenue Accountant to join our growing Finance team. As we prepare for a planned IPO, you will play a critical role in driving process improvements and ensuring compliance with revenue recognition standards. What You Will Do

  • Reporting: Assist in the month-end reporting process to deliver timely and accurate financial information.
  • Revenue Recognition: Take full responsibility for a portion of the revenue recognition process aligned with your strengths.
  • Audit & Compliance: Assist with year-end audits, statutory reporting, and monitor financial process compliance.
  • IPO Readiness: Support the finance team's strategic initiatives to prepare the business for public market scrutiny.
  • Collaboration: Establish strong relationships with cross-functional teams and share knowledge to ensure operational coverage.
  • Professional Development: Actively develop your skills regarding current financial standards and regulations.

What We Are Looking For

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a qualified accountant status (ACCA, ACA, ACMA, CPA, etc.).
  • Expertise: Proven experience with IFRS 15 or ASC 606 revenue recognition.
  • Experience: Strong background at a large public accounting firm or a public multinational corporate accounting department.
  • Skills: Exceptional academic and career performance; NetSuite or similar systems experience is a plus.
  • Mindset: Bright, motivated, and passionate about driving process improvements.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to four times per year for team sprints.
