Salesforce/NetSuite Engineering Manager, Commercial Systems - Canonical

About the Role

Canonical is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our Business Systems team. You will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of internal products, including NetSuite and Salesforce. This role requires a leader who balances high engineering standards with a deep understanding of business processes to deliver impactful solutions for our global operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers.
• Oversee the design and development of internal commercial systems.
• Continuously improve processes, system architecture, and engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with operations and business teams to ensure system compliance and efficiency.
• Develop the skills and capabilities of direct reports.

What We Are Looking For

• Exceptional academic track record (high school and university).
• Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven track record of exceeding expectations and delivering results.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, or similar CRM/ERP systems.
• Professional proficiency in English with excellent presentation skills.
• Result-oriented mindset with a drive to meet commitments.
• Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events (up to two weeks per trip).

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience in accounting, sales, or sales operations.
• Background in performance engineering.
