Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership: Drive initiatives, write specifications, and reduce system complexity.
  • Engineering Excellence: Design, implement, and document well-tested software while leading code and architectural reviews.
  • Operations: Deploy and operate services developed by the team, ensuring high performance and accessibility.
  • Mentorship: Systematically develop and mentor team members to foster a culture of excellence.
  • Advocacy: Represent the team as a subject matter expert and contribute to technical documentation.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: Proven track record in web engineering with a strong understanding of Linux (Debian/Ubuntu preferred).
  • Education: Undergraduate degree in Computer Science/STEM or a compelling narrative of an alternative path.
  • Soft Skills: Passionate, self-motivated, and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Technical Depth: Ability to research new technologies and integrate modern approaches sustainably.
  • Commitment: Result-oriented with the ability to travel twice a year for company events.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with container technologies (LXD, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Background in REST API design, development, and governance.
  • Passion for performance engineering and security.
