Telecom Account Executive - Canonical

About the Role

Canonical is seeking experienced Telecom Account Executives to drive the adoption of open source enterprise solutions. We are looking for candidates with a focus on the Middle East, DACH region, Nordics, Eastern Europe, and the USA. Fluency in the local language of your target market is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Territory Management: Build and execute a comprehensive territory plan to prioritize outreach and prospecting.
• Pipeline Development: Generate new business through proactive outreach, local marketing, and industry events.
• Sales Execution: Close contracts to meet and exceed annual bookings quotas.
• Relationship Building: Establish productive professional relationships with key influencers and decision-makers.
• Collaboration: Work with field engineers to propose technical solutions and with customer success to identify growth opportunities.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasts within Salesforce.

What We Look For

• Experience: Proven track record in enterprise software or technology sales.
• Technical Acumen: Understanding of open source technology, cloud, virtualization, and container environments.
• Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering or computer science.
• Soft Skills: High intellect, empathy for customer needs, passion for technology, and strong teamwork capabilities.
• Professionalism: Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up and communication skills.
• Mobility: Ability to travel regionally for client engagements and internationally for company events twice a year.
