Role Overview
Reporting to the Senior Demand Generation Manager, you will be one of the primary points of contact for potential customers, engaging with hundreds of local government agencies across North America. You will handle inbound leads from marketing efforts and proactively build outbound pipelines using modern sales tech, AI tools, and data-driven prospecting techniques.
This is a high-visibility position with strong progression pathways into full-cycle sales, customer success, and other GTM roles.
Responsibilities
- Build and execute high-volume, multi-channel outbound sequences (cold calls, personalized emails, LinkedIn outreach) with a test-and-iterate mindset.
- Utilize AI-powered sales tools to research prospects, identify buying signals, and tailor outreach to public agency pain points.
- Multi-thread buying committees by connecting with decision-makers, influencers, and champions across agencies.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to define target account lists, outreach strategies, and messaging.
- Manage smooth lead handoffs to designated Account Executives and refine lead qualification processes.
- Maintain an active prospect pipeline and ensure precise tracking within Salesforce.
- Gather and share market intelligence, prospect objections, and competitive insights to refine the company's GTM playbook.
Requirements
- 1–3+ years of relevant B2B sales and/or GovTech experience.
- Highly comfortable conducting cold phone calls to prospective leads.
- Skilled in explaining technical/complex software solutions to diverse stakeholders.
- Tech stack proficiency in Salesforce and Dialpad.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI sales tools for prospecting research and message personalization.
- Data-driven outbound mindset with a track record of monitoring and optimizing outreach metrics.
- Growth-oriented, curious, coachable, and comfortable asking deep questions to uncover operational challenges.
Nice-to-Haves
- Background in Community Development (permitting, planning, licensing, code enforcement).
- Successful track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Experience in consultative selling.

Onboarding Timeline
- First Week: System setup, orientation to company vision/product, HR onboarding, and introductory 1:1s.
- First 30 Days: Complete BDR Bootcamp covering ideal customer profiles, tool training, cold call simulations, and qualify for assigned territory setup.
- First 90 Days: Achieve initial onboarding sales targets, demonstrate solid product understanding, and master agency prospecting.
- First Year: Participate in annual performance/compensation reviews and explore career progression opportunities.
Compensation & Details
- Base Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 CAD (commensurate with skills, experience, and internal equity).
- Travel: Occasional travel required for company-wide or departmental retreats (typically 1–2 times per year).
- Pre-employment: Background checks covering global sanctions and relevant criminal records are required for all hires.
