Senior Software Engineer – Marketing - Close

About the Role

As the first Senior Software Engineer for Marketing at Close, you will be the technical owner of our website. You will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and instrumenting Close.com, ensuring it serves as a competitive advantage for our business. You will report to the Engineering team while collaborating closely with Marketing and Design.

You Are

• Experienced: 5+ years of experience building beautiful, conversion-focused websites.
• Technically Proficient: Skilled in modern stacks (Astro, Sanity, Vercel), ambitious CSS, motion, and rich media.
• Data-Driven: Fluent in measurement, cookies, conversion events, and experimentation tools (e.g., Segment, Amplitude, Customer.io).
• Impact-Oriented: Motivated by how your work directly influences traffic, conversion, and revenue.
• Collaborative: Experienced in building systems that empower non-technical team members to self-serve.
• AI-Forward: You leverage AI to increase velocity while maintaining high standards for craftsmanship.

You Will

• Build & Improve: Ship new pages and enhance the interactivity and responsiveness of Close.com.
• Optimize: Own performance, technical SEO, and accessibility for both search engines and AI agents.
• Manage Infrastructure: Maintain the platform (Sanity), components, integrations, and deployment pipelines.
• Measure: Ensure accurate tracking, attribution, and funnel data flow.
• Enable Marketing: Build automations and tools that allow the marketing team to ship experiments and campaigns independently.
• Act as a Resource: Provide engineering support for marketing initiatives beyond the website.
