Senior Engineering Manager - Cloudforce One

About the Role

As the Senior Engineering Manager for the Threat Application Services (TAS) team within Cloudforce One, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of threat intelligence data. You will oversee the development of the Threat Events platform, external Threat Intel APIs, and backend systems that integrate Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) into Cloudflare products like WAF and Gateway.

What You'll Do

• Architectural Leadership: Drive the architectural direction and operational excellence of services, ensuring they meet the latency and reliability requirements of Enterprise security operations.
• Team Development: Lead hiring efforts and drive the professional development of your direct reports through strong mentorship.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers and security researchers to turn complex threat data into intuitive, automated customer experiences.
• Operational Excellence: Manage technical debt and ensure the team transitions from "getting things done" to building world-class, reliable products.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of Software Development experience, with a focus on Go, JavaScript, or distributed systems.
• 8+ years of experience leading high-performing engineering teams in a high-growth environment.
• Proven experience building high-performance APIs or platforms for threat intelligence, security operations, or large-scale data analytics.
• Experience with AI-assisted development and agentic AI workflows.
• Deep understanding of the Cyber Kill Chain and automation of IOC ingestion (IPs, domains, hashes, fingerprints).
• Experience with edge computing (e.g., Workers) and building systems that scale to handle trillions of signals.
