About the Role

Cloudflare operates a global network spanning hundreds of cities. You will join our Network Engineering Team to build software solutions that improve network resilience and reduce operational toil. You will work on a range of tools and infrastructure, leveraging AI assistants to streamline workflows and deliver scalable, maintainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain reliable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
• Develop infrastructure as code and automate CI/CD pipelines.
• Utilize AI tools to augment task execution and project delivery.
• Collaborate with a team of network automation engineers to improve infrastructure.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of SRE, DevOps, or Software Engineering experience.
• Deep understanding of modern Linux internals and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in Python or Golang.
• Hands-on experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, distributed tracing).
• Proven track record in systems design.

Bonus Points

• Knowledge of networking (Layer 2/3 protocols, gRPC/gNMI, NETCONF).
• Experience with configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Saltstack).
• Experience with declarative configuration and state-reconciliation systems.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary: €66,000 - €91,000.
• Eligibility for Cloudflare's equity plan.
