The Role

The Chief of Staff is one of the most important hires we'll make this year. Our business is at a pivotal point, and our CEO, Paul, is looking for a product-focused operator and strategist to partner with. You'll report directly to Paul, working in lockstep to bring rigor to our operating layers, drive a metrics-driven product strategy, optimize through AI implementation, and own high-impact special projects.

This is not a Chief of Staff role where you watch; you will lead. You'll carry real, delegated authority, designated by Paul and the leadership team. You'll independently own work that shapes how our business operates — strategic product insights, cross-company metrics, EPD health, executive effectiveness, AI enablement, and special projects.

Who You Are

• Proven operator: 7–10+ years of experience in Chief of Staff, product operations, BizOps, consulting, or other high-accountability operational or strategic roles.
• Product mindset: Operated inside a product organization, understanding how products get scoped, built, measured, and shipped (consumer/social product experience is a big plus).
• Quantitative: Get into the data yourself, pressure-test metrics, and build a point of view on business levers.
• Operates at every altitude: Able to zoom out for strategy and zoom in to fix broken processes with acute attention to detail.
• Challenge-ready: Quick to deliver finished products at a high standard across diverse functional areas.
• Athlete's mindset: Crave feedback, act on it immediately, and possess a find-a-way mentality.
• Exceptional communicator: Clear, concise writing and speaking, inbox-zero mentality, and skilled at unblocking the team.
• Trusted partner: Low ego, high EQ, and builds durable relationships across the organization.
• Future founder: Views this role as a critical proving ground to learn how a running startup operates at the highest level.

What You Will Do

• Own our product operating system: Provide the structure and rigor to manage product execution, driving accountability across scope, specs, and PM-owned metrics.
• Leverage data as a trusted product strategist: Partner with leadership and data teams to determine what moves the product and industry forward.
• Own company metrics and AI acceleration: Create the source of truth for company metrics and find ways to move faster with AI.
• Be the CEO's force multiplier: Embed in leadership meetings, guide discussions, triage roadmaps, and drive execution across the group.
• Create something meaningful: Help shape positive products that bring people's voices together for great friendships.
