
About the Role
Kit Studios is our in-house creator space where creators record high-quality podcasts and video content. We are looking for a Studio Manager to be the heartbeat of our Chicago location. You will manage the space, build community, and serve as the face of Kit in the local creator scene.
What You'll Do
- Studio Management: Oversee daily operations, including bookings, creator greetings, technical troubleshooting, and facility maintenance.
- Community Building: Build authentic relationships with Chicago-based creators, understanding their goals and connecting them to Kit’s tools.
- Lead Generation: Identify creators who would benefit from Kit’s paid plans and facilitate hand-offs to our sales team.
- Content Creation: Capture photo/video content and appear on camera to market the studio and Kit’s mission.
- Growth: Drive studio utilization toward a goal of 120 sessions per month.
What You Bring
- 2+ years in community building, hospitality, event coordination, or creator-facing roles.
- Hands-on experience with studio recording equipment (Rode, Shure, ATEM, etc.).
- Strong conversational selling skills and hospitality instincts.
- Familiarity with CRM/email tools like Customer.io.
- Deep ties to or active participation in the Chicago creator economy.
- Ability to work independently and build systems from scratch.
Working Hours & Location
- Location: On-site in Chicago (Goose Island).
- Schedule: Approximately 25 hours per week, with additional hours for events as needed.
