At Curai, we believe that access to high-quality healthcare is a fundamental human right, not a privilege. Our mission is to radically transform healthcare by harnessing the power of artificial intelligence and clinical expertise to make care more affordable, accessible, and effective for everyone.
Curai Health Medical Group is a fully virtual primary care practice. We use AI to help our clinicians deliver fast, high-quality care to patients in multiple states. Our care team works together entirely online, and our Medical Assistants are key to making sure every patient’s care moves forward without gaps.
About the Role
This is a remote, non-hands-on Medical Assistant role. You won’t do vitals, draw blood, or room patients. You’ll use your Medical Assistant training to keep patient care moving behind the scenes: working with pharmacies, getting prior authorizations, coordinating referrals, and making sure patients get the follow-up they need. If you know the clinical side and excel at administrative healthcare workflows, this role is for you.
- Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday; 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM PST (plus holiday rotation)
Key Responsibilities
- Pharmacy & Prescription Support: Work with pharmacies on refills, clarifications, and transfers. Assist clinicians with prescription workflows.
- Prior Authorizations & Referrals: Prepare and submit prior authorizations (e.g., CoverMyMeds), track them to resolution, and coordinate specialist referrals.
- Scheduling & Follow-up Outreach: Schedule appointments and reach out to patients to ensure care plans are completed.
- Patient Communication: Communicate with patients and colleagues in a caring, patient-centered manner.
- Documentation: Document all tasks and communications accurately and thoroughly in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Workflow Optimization: Identify workflow issues and escalate them when necessary.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in team huddles, quality initiatives, and maintain strict HIPAA confidentiality standards.
