The Opportunity

We are hiring a Senior Director of Accounting to lead our operational accounting function as we scale toward IPO. Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, you will manage the monthly close, general ledger, sub-ledgers, and accounting systems, including a critical migration off our current ERP.

What You'll Do

• Lead Operational Accounting: Oversee monthly/quarterly close, GL integrity, and sub-ledger architecture. Design the function for our first-ever audit.
• ERP Migration: Partner with the CAO to select and lead the end-to-end implementation of a new ERP platform.
• Team Leadership: Manage and scale the accounting team, including AP, AR, payroll, and systems. Develop managers and hire key talent.
• Technical Accounting Partnership: Instrument the GL and sub-ledgers for ASC 718, 606, 842, 340, and 805 compliance.
• Audit & Compliance: Deliver Year-1 audit operations, codify accounting policies, and build the SOX control environment from scratch.
• AI-Native Transformation: Drive the integration of AI tools into accounting workflows to increase efficiency as the company scales.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of accounting experience, with at least 6 in a senior operating role at a high-growth company (Pre-IPO or recently public preferred).
• Proven experience taking a company through its first-ever audit.
• Direct experience leading an end-to-end ERP migration at scale.
• Operational fluency in ASC 718, 606, and 842.
• Experience standing up SOX controls from scratch.
• Demonstrable experience building AI-native practices into an accounting function.
• Experience managing managers and developing senior leaders.
• CPA preferred.
