Elastic Consultant - Public Sector

About the Role

Elastic is seeking a Public Sector Consultant to lead stakeholder relationships at the highest levels of government and drive the delivery of our Search AI Platform. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strategic advisory, ensuring our solutions align with the mission-critical objectives of our public sector customers.

Note: This role requires a high percentage of onsite work with customers and necessitates current German security clearance.

What You Will Be Doing

• Strategic Engagement: Lead strategic roadmaps and quarterly sessions with senior stakeholders.
• Technical Delivery: Design, develop, and integrate Elastic products, APIs, and platform architectures.
• Advocacy: Act as a strong customer advocate, pivoting easily between hands-on delivery and high-level strategic planning.
• Optimization: Perform data modeling, query development, cluster tuning, and scaling for large-scale analytics.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Elastic engineering, product management, and sales teams to scope opportunities and identify feature enhancements.
• Knowledge Sharing: Develop demos and proof-of-concepts to highlight the value of the Elastic Stack.

What You Bring Along

• Security Clearance: Must hold current German security clearance.
• Language: Fluency in German is essential.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years as a Consultant in professional services.
  • Minimum 2 years as a Software Engineer, System Administrator, or DevOps Engineer.
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch/Lucene, Linux, Java, and distributed systems.
• Communication: Proven ability to act as a technical instructor or public speaker for large technical audiences.
• Travel: Willingness to travel for frequent onsite customer engagements.

Bonus Points

• Elastic Certified Engineer certification.
• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience contributing to open-source projects.
• Background in developing product training materials.
