About the Role

Elastic is seeking a dynamic Enterprise Account Executive to drive growth within the Japanese retail market. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping enterprise customers leverage our Search AI platform to solve complex data challenges in observability, security, and search.

What You Will Be Doing

• Drive Adoption: Fuel the adoption of Elastic’s AI-powered search, observability, and security solutions within new and existing enterprise retail accounts.
• Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive business plans leveraging community, customer, and partner ecosystems to drive territory growth.
• Navigate Sales Cycles: Proactively identify opportunities and manage complex sales cycles using frameworks like MEDDPICC.
• Domain & Cloud Acumen: Position Elastic by speaking fluently about cloud economics, usage-based pricing, and modern data architectures.
• Cross-functional Partnership: Collaborate with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Marketing, and RevOps to accelerate deals and drive customer outcomes.
• Champion Open Source: Articulate the value of advanced commercial features while advocating for our Open-Source offerings.

What You Bring

• Proven Track Record: Success in SaaS subscription sales within Retail Enterprise accounts, evidenced by overachievement.
• Technical Fluency: Comfortable discussing security, observability, vector/traditional search, and cloud cost optimization.
• Value Storytelling: Ability to craft narratives linking technical capabilities to measurable business outcomes.
• Executive Presence: Adept at establishing credibility with both technical developers and executive leadership.
• Language Skills: Fluency in both Japanese and English is required.
• Sales Discipline: Consistent, predictable sales forecasting and experience managing formal close plans.
