
About the Role
Elastic is looking for a Principal Product Manager to serve as the primary product voice for our most strategic enterprise security customers. In this high-impact role, you will bridge the gap between complex customer needs and our product roadmap, ensuring that enhancement requests are prioritized, tracked, and translated into meaningful product outcomes.
What You Will Be Doing
- Pipeline Management: Own the enhancement request pipeline across multiple strategic accounts, building structured systems to track and prioritize requirements.
- Strategic Synthesis: Translate customer pain points into coherent product directions, identifying patterns that benefit the broader market.
- Executive Engagement: Serve as the primary product voice for CISOs, CTOs, and VPs of Security Operations, delivering roadmap updates and managing expectations.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Partner with Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success to drive requirements, support deal cycles, and navigate contractual tensions.
- Data-Driven Prioritization: Utilize frameworks like RICE and opportunity sizing to make transparent, data-backed decisions.
- AI-Augmented Workflow: Leverage AI tooling to synthesize documentation and manage high volumes of customer context efficiently.
What You Bring
- Experience: 7–10 years of product management experience, with at least 4 years in B2B enterprise software.
- Security Domain Expertise: Hands-on knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, or XDR. Ability to discuss detection engineering, log ingestion, and threat hunting workflows credibly.
- Executive Presence: Comfort presenting to C-suite stakeholders and managing difficult conversations without compromising relationships.
- Technical Credibility: Ability to write actionable requirements for engineering and assess system architecture feasibility.
- Structured Thinking: A bias for closure and the ability to bring order to unstructured, complex problems.
Location and Travel
This role is remote-first. Travel up to 50% is expected to support strategic accounts, including on-site executive and design-partner engagements.
