About the Role
As a Senior Benefits Analyst on GitLab's Total Rewards team, you will design, administer, and improve global benefits programs. This role focuses on EMEA and South America, with interim support for APAC, navigating complex employment models including PEO, EOR, and local legal entities.
What You’ll Do
- Program Management: Partner with global brokers and local vendors to lead plan renewals, manage day-to-day operations, and drive continuous improvement.
- Implementation: Lead end-to-end launches of new benefits programs, from business cases and vendor selection to configuration and communication.
- Administration: Oversee eligibility, enrollment, billing reconciliation, and quality assurance for assigned global programs.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Payroll, Finance, and People Operations to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.
- Strategic Analysis: Analyze utilization, cost, and survey data to identify trends and develop recommendations for Benefits leadership.
- Process Optimization: Simplify and automate benefits processes, keeping the team member experience at the center.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven track record owning global benefits programs and working with international brokers.
- Strong knowledge of core benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, disability) and multi-country employment models (PEO/EOR).
- Experience supporting benefits during country expansions and transitions.
- Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration tools (Workday experience strongly preferred).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use spreadsheets for data-driven recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics to diverse stakeholders.
- Curiosity about AI tools and a willingness to incorporate them into daily workflows.
